Place Card Designer for Google Sheets™ is a Google Sheets companion that helps you import spreadsheet rows into Place Card Maker.

It is built for people searching for a faster way to create printable place cards from Google Sheets, especially for weddings, dinner parties, and Avery-compatible place card stock.

Use it when your guest list already lives in a Google Sheet and you want to:

  • preview the active sheet in a sidebar
  • import guest names, table numbers, seat numbers, and meal choices
  • continue with Avery-compatible place card layouts such as 5302 and 5388
  • continue editing in the full Place Card Maker on PlaceCard.us

How It Works

  1. Open a Google Sheet with a header row.
  2. Open the Place Card Designer sidebar.
  3. Review the active sheet preview.
  4. Click Open In Place Card Maker.
  5. The selected rows open in the hosted editor on PlaceCard.us.

What Data Is Used

The add-on uses the narrow spreadsheets.currentonly scope to read only the spreadsheet the user is actively working in.

When you import data, the following may be sent to a PlaceCard.us bridge page:

  • the active sheet rows
  • spreadsheet title
  • spreadsheet URL
  • sheet title

That bridge page writes the selected data into the browser session for immediate editing in Place Card Maker.
